[ I ] Focus ✘ [Action]
[Serah knew instantly when she glanced around that she was no longer in the Bodhum Vestige anymore. It was impossible for her to be there when she’d fallen into a tree suddenly. If hitting branch after branch wasn't a good enough wake up call, what else was? She finally stopped when she fell to the ground. Everything ached as she lied in the snow. As she started to push herself off the ground, something fell and hit her.]
Ow! What the heck was that…?
[Checking to see what it was, she noticed some sort of device lying in the snow, going to grab it. She wiped off the snow off of the device. She pushed herself up out of the snow as she sat down in the snow. Glancing around, this place really was different. She’d never seen any place like this, but then she’d never really traveled much. Sitting there in the cold, she ached all over. Obviously from the fall, but more than that her back hurt the worst.
One obvious thing was that…. It was cold and snowy. That was made clear while she sat there shivering. She wasn't wearing her normal outfit, but this plain white dress was hardly a good idea in this sort of weather. Back in Bodhum, it was still warm out. She would simply have to figure out why her outfit changed later. She stood up, patting the slow off of her as she searched for somewhere warm. She also noted to herself that people here… they all had wings.
As she was walking, she felt a little sick from time to time. It must be because of this weather. As far as she knew, she was still supposed to be a crystal. Did she get free from crystal stasis faster than most people? Looking to her arm, she noticed her L’cie brand was still there. She stopped at the sight of her brand, shivering a little.]
It looks like I’m going to have to worry about this later
[Finally setting sights on a restaurant, she hurried inside, immediately feeling the warmth. Now that she inside a warm building, she hurried to the bathroom to look at her L’cie mark. It seemed to be… scorched over, but what did that mean? Did that mean that she still had a Focus? Was she going to end up a Cie’th after all? Upon looking in the mirror, she froze. Not only did she see her L’cie mark, she also found…. Wings? Why did she have wings on her back? She hadn't really thought about what her body ached when she fell because she figured just falling down itself was enough to answer that.
Pulling at her wing, she had to check to see if it was real or just some weird fashion statement. When she accidentally pulled a feather, she felt a sharp pain; the kind of pain that caused a gut pain. What…? What did…. that mean? Were these wings…. real? There were so many things to worry about right now. These wings, her L’cie mark, and… was that a bar code on the back of her neck? Was that just there to be there? Was there for a purpose that she didn't know yet?
All she knew was that she was definitely scared of what happened at home and what was going on here. Now she just needed to see if anybody was around. She had so many questions that she needed to be answered. Heading outside of the bathroom, she searched to see if somebody else was around.]
Hello? Is there anybody here?
[OOC/EDIT: Woops! I forgot about the New Feather dress >_>]

So, when Serah starts wandering around, Ven immediately perks up, cracking great big smile.]
Hey, you looking for someone?
[She looks like a newbie, anyway, given her attire.
And contrary to this dork's icons, he's actually around eighteen.]
no subject
Oh uhm... I guess you could say that. Do you know somebody with pink hair like mine? She has a short fuse and is most likely still fighting to get out of here. Her name is Lightning.
[That was... if Lightning was even here....]
Or a tall guy with blonde hair and a hat. He has a long tanish coat... His name is Snow.
no subject
[Huh, it's funny she mentions that. Ven nods without even a second thought; after all, he's not one to forget a face all that easily.]
Yeah, she's here right now! I think she showed up about a month ago, trying to find a way outta this world.
[Obviously that hasn't worked--it never does, but Ven really can't fault her for trying. As for the other friend, however, Ven's smile fades.]
I'm afraid I haven't seen the other guy you're describing, though. Sorry about that...
no subject
The news of Snow not being here... That was disappointing... At least she could see her sister again. She wanted to see Snow too.]
That sounds like her. Would you happen to know where she is?
no subject
[He rubs his chin, trying to remember what her surroundings looked like over the journals...]
That's a ways off, though. I guess if you really wanted to reach her, you could always hang around town and see if you can catch her. Otherwise, I'd try using the journals to reach her.
no subject
I'll look for her later. My name is Serah Farron, and Lightning is my sister.
no subject
[He runs a hand over the top of his head.]
Well, your hair color, anyway. But my name's Ventus-- Ven for short.
no subject
no subject
[Well, now that the intros are outta the way, he might as well see what else he can do to help. For a few seconds, he mulls over just what to ask-- there's a lot too cover really. If she's looked at the journals, if she needs help finding her clothes and belongings, the list goes on...]
So, is there anything else you wanna know? I've got loads of time on my hands-- too much, these days.
[But then, spending three years in a world with very few dangers will do that. In a way, it's kinda relaxing.]
no subject
[Glancing down at her dull attire again. It would be nice to have her clothing back but... Wait. Feeling around her neck.]
Oh no! Where is it?!
no subject
[He looks around, half expecting to find something on the floor. But then, she's a newbie... Most of her belongings are probably scattered across the shops.]
Wait, what're you looking for? Maybe I can help...
no subject
[Now she's a little frantic.]
no subject
[Oh man. Doesn't look like there's any on the floor.]
So, uh, what's it look like? It might be over at the clothing shop!
[Wait, but do pendants even count as clothes?]
Or, er, maybe it's over at the item shop... Man, wherever it is, it's gotta be around here somewhere!
no subject
[At the clothing shop.... Well... She does need her clothing back.
Since the mun forgot about new feather clothing.]Can you take me there? That pendent is really important. If I can't find my clothing, i'll be okay with that as long as I can find that pendent.
sorry I took so ridiculously long to get to this DX
[And at her question, he performs a salute. It probably looks a little silly, but hey. He figures some positive enthusiasm oughta help right now.]
Just follow my lead, okay? All the shops are really close by, so it shouldn't take too long.
That's totally okay. I get slow sometimes too :3
Okay.
no subject
There's just ooone teensy little problem... the shop's stocked with all sorts of clothing. Easy enough to find her regular clothes, perhaps, but a pendant? That'll take some digging.]
no subject
[Walking into the store, at the very least she'd be able to find her normal clothing maybe. While she's looking..]
So how long have you been here?
no subject
[Ven rubs at the side of his neck, laughing shakily. That's quite a loaded question for a newbie to ask him.]
It's been three years, but before you start worrying, I swear I'm the exception and not the rule! Loads of people get outta here within a few weeks, a month, sometimes even less than that.
[But is that really reassuring for her? Given how many people long to leave, he sure hopes so. The last thing he'd want is to upset anybody.]
no subject
Three years... Wow... So I take it that nobody knows how to leave...
[Because that's the only logical conclusion she can come up with. She hardly doubted if somebody kidnapped everyone here over time, they weren't likely to simply let you leave on whim. Unless they got bored of you... That could be.
After a little while, she noticed her normal clothing. If her clothing was here.... it was possible that her pendent was somewhere too. Here's hoping that's true, anyways. Grabbing her outfit, she excused herself momentarily as she went to change. After changing back, she returned.]
Much better.
[Well.. Still cold, but she felt more comfortable with her own clothing.]
no subject
[His shoulders droop, and he starts twiddling his thumbs.]
It's kinda a mixed blessing. Sooner or later, you'll probably leave, but there's also a chance that you'll stick around while your friends get a ticket home. I really don't wanna upset you or anything-- I just think it's important to know. I've, uh... had to experience it lots of times.
[But now that she's changed, he nods.]
Man, I know how that feels, though. The stuff they dress us in is just so... bare. Guess the upside's that everything here's free.
[And finding a winter coat's easy enough in theory. Ven's stockpiled a couple just for these long winters.]
no subject
It's okay. I had a feeling it would be something like this.
Everything is free?
no subject
[He gestures at the shelves of clothes with a chuckle.]
It's probably 'cause the shops here refill all by themselves. There's such a huge supply that nobody really needs money.
