[Serah turned on the comm. focusing it to her. She was quiet for a while before she spoke.]

Is it just me, or is everyone forgetting things a lot? I've been so forgetful lately... I couldn't find my engagement necklace for a while. I only had it off for a little while.

[There's an ackward silence, but she turns off the feed after a while]

Well... I wouldn't say she's "nice", but she has her moments. She's more... serious, I guess you could say. She's not so bad, though.

And you? You don't seem too serious, it's a good thing!

No, I'm not. Her job kind of makes her serious and our past.

[He flops back in the sand, hands cupped at the back of his mullet, sprawling lazily]

Aw, I don't think anybody should take their job too seriously.

[Serah, too, took a seat in the sand. She looked up to the sky.]

She was on the Guardian Corp... She hunted down L'Cie and killed them if needed to keep Bodhum safe...

[She sighed in sadness]

Yikes. I bet that made for interesting family.

Lightning is the only family I have left. When I marry Snow, he'll be part of it, too, but even then.. Oh well. Family is family.

Guess you gotta deal with what you've got, right?

Yeah. They're all I need, along with my friends. What about you?

Me? Ah, I don't need much at all! A song and a- Well. I don't need much.

Oh... you don't mind being alone?

That doesn't bother me too much.

It would bother me if I didn't have those people in my life.

Yeah, yeah...I hear that a lot. People...attached, all of that. Sounds like it would weigh me down!

If it hadn't been for Snow trying to help me, then I probably would have been long gone before. With or without the help of the Sanctum.

So he's got your back! Well that's lucky. Looks like you made a lucky match.

Not quite. He calls himself a hero and stuff a lot. Lightning doesn't really like him because of that and other reasons, but...

Is she jealous?

Ah- no. I think she just doesn't approve of him. I could tell when she met Snow. Snow didn't notice, but I did.

The hero-ing business is pretty risky. Maybe she just wants to be sure you can be happy.

It's just who his is, so I really don't mind. But, I just worry sometimes. There's reasons why I don'tell him some things.

[Demyx scoops up a handful of sand and watches the fine grains slide away through his fingers]

And ah...you left all these guys back home? How long've you been here?

Well... coming here wasn't on my plans to do. For about a month or so.
